Joel Embiid will miss Monday night's game against the Detroit Pistons with back tightness.

Dwight Howard will likely start in his stead. The 35-year-old center is averaging 6.6 points and 8.1 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game. Vincent Poirier remains out due to health and safety protocols, likely meaning Tony Bradley will likely see more game action backing up Howard. The 6'10", 248 pounder has appeared in 5 games this season producing 4.6 points and 6.6 boards in 13.4 minutes. The Sixers may also try more looks with Ben Simmons at center in smaller lineups.

Embiid was questionable entering tonight's contest before being officially ruled out. HE had been experiencing some soreness and stiffness since the Sixers Friday night victory over the Boston Celtics.
